Koori Knockout

The Wahroonga Goannas in their Blackchrome kits.

The Koori Knockout is a rugby league carnival, and one of the biggest Indigenous gatherings in Australia.

The event takes place in New South Wales on the October long weekend of each year. This year, it took place at Leichardt Oval and attracted up to 3000 Indigenous players across men’s, women’s and junior categories, and was watched by about 10,000 spectators.

In the men’s, the Redfern All Blacks took out the title for the second year in a row. The Redfern All Blacks women’s side also won their grand final.

Blackchrome Sportswear supplied kits to four teams in the tournament.

Below are the kits we made for the Wahroonga Goannas and the Newcastle Yowies for the Koori Knockout.
