After months of extensive development and testing, we are excited to launch our new swimwear range. Blackchrome can now offer customised, made-to-order swimwear, available in any colour with unlimited logo and design options.
The development of our new swimwear range began with sourcing the right fabrics. Firstly, we needed something that would ensure superior performance in both chlorine and saltwater environments. Enter Mako, our fabric designed specifically for sublimated swimwear. Mako performs extremely well in harsh water environments, while offering exceptional comfort, fabric memory and hand feel.
We also needed a fabric specifically for sublimated rashies. We developed Teleost, a fabric that not only provides superior skin protection and comfort, but also performs exceptionally in both chlorinated and saltwater environments.
Next we carried out a series of testing techniques. One of these tests involved giving sizing kits to Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club, who wore them in both pool and sea environments for multiple days a week, over a period of 18 months.
One of the people who tested the swimwear range was Ryan Williams, who is a member of Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club. He has owned some of the Blackchrome range for over 24 months and says the quality of comfort is still there today.
“Many other products tend to wear out after a year of wearing them, but Blackchrome continues to provide great comfort and support,” he says.
Ryan says the difference between Blackchrome and other sportswear products is the comfort while working out and competing.
“Unlike other brands, the sizing is great, not too slim or too large, and the shirts and jammers always provide enough space to exercise without feeling too compressed. Whether using the products in the saltwater or in a public pool, they’ve never let me down in terms of being worn out or feeling uncomfortable.”

It’s not just about being in the water! Our swimwear range also includes customised swim coats, made using our outerwear Taslon fabric with an internal fleece lining to keep you warm.
As with all our custom products, we offer pre-production sampling and a low minimum order quantity of just 10 pieces and industry leading delivery timeframes.
